You’ve somehow ended up at ‘paronymous christos’, the web:journal of Mark Coleman, this is what you’re in for.
I’m a Christian and a Motion Graphic Designer, or VFX Compositor if you’re in the know, and I live in London, England. I find it interesting how people refer to themselves, we’re often defined by our jobs, maybe it just makes introductions easier, maybe it’s just cultural. Anyway, I’m a Christian first, and that’s because I’m very thankful for what Jesus has done for me, but I enjoy my job so that’s listed there too.
Update: Still a Christian, still doing designy, motion graphicy, edity, designy, 3dee, designy shenanigans, but now living in Sydney, Australia. Bonza. Oh, and still very thankful for what Jesus has done for me.
There are many thoughts flying around my head, this place will hopefully become my electronic moleskine notebook in which to scribble a few down. You may find some of them interesting or you may not, but that’s the beauty of the internet, if you don’t want to read them, you don’t have to. However, if you do, you can bookmark this page and return frequently. You may even want to comment on one of them, if you’re that way inclined, please do.
My aim is to catalogue the things that quickened my mind, those keen thoughts that suddenly seem sharper than the general blur. They might be funny, moving, entertaining, inspirational, joyfully reminiscent, beautiful or just plain old information. They might be thoughts from my mind or from someone else’s, they might be words, pictures, music or video but with every entry, I’ll try and categorize it appropriately for easy finding. If you don’t like funny things then don’t read that category, simple.
To explain my web:journal’s title I’m just going to list the dictionary definition of the two words and a verse from the Bible, make of it what you will:
pa·ron·y·mous: Allied by derivation from the same root; having the same stem; for example, beautiful and beauteous.
christ·os: Christ.
John 15:5: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
I hope you’re happy here, maybe inspired. Enjoy the stuff.
Hello.
If I had to write a perfect and meaningful definition about me, I would choose this introduction because you have found the good words; you have put forward something so pure as well as spiritual, the most human description that I have never read. Your last sentence is “I hope you’re happy here, maybe inspired. Enjoy the stuff” and be sure I highly inspired on reading your writings!
Matthew 4:4:
The Temptation of Jesus
“Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
That is my favorite quote in the Bible because it sums up the basements of faith.
I have noticed you’re a believer from the Holy Trinity Church and you know, the last time I went to London I had the chance to meet a wonderful believer from Kew/Richmond who liked to pray in the same church than you and another place (which I have forgotten the name). She is one of those people who helped me to come back to God; your blog (so you) is one of them too.
Thank you for your kind words.

Nice. Top blog!
Hi Mark
It’s b-girl unreal here! Just thought I’d drop in and say hello because I’d been reading your blog and thought it was slightly creepy not to tell you that I’d been reading it. Like spying or something… that’s how I feel when someone unexpectedly mentions that they’ve read something on my blog – which is pretty silly.
Anyway, I like your blog. I didn’t realise you were so religious (although I knew you were a little bit). Although I am not religious myself, I have a lot of respect for people who really make it a central part of their lives. I’ve often thought that if you truly believe in a benevolent creator, especially if you also believe that the creator has communicated with the human race via the Bible or similar, that is such a massive and important thing that it would be logical to make that a key part of your life. A lot of people say that they have a belief, but it doesn’t seem to have any impact on who they are or what they do. I’d like to think that if I had a belief, I’d put my money where my mouth is and really live it!
Anyway, I hope that’s not a weird thing to say! Laters, b-boy.
Hey B-Girl,
Not creepy at all and no not a weird thing to say either. Jesus is a big part of my life, so I try to be honest about that and am probably at my most candid here in the digital world. My Blog is my reserve of thoughts for when I get round to writing my book.
I don’t feel spied upon either, the stuff I write is out there for the world to consume, so in many ways it’s a delight to know that someone actually reads my brain dump, feel at liberty to continue.
Beetchawawa hey, a Star Wars geek, cool. : ) I may peruse your online journal now I know it exists.
See you Wednesday for a few more serious dancefloor shapes before I jet off to Aus.
Peas Bboy Paronymo : )
